Jane’s take on job interviewing is as follows:

  • Job Interviewing is an art as well as a skill and quite a lot can be learned. The other piece that’s left is your ability to observe and respond so you can assess the dynamic between you and your potential employers.
  • Your pre-interview preparation will determine hugely how you perform at interview and how well you will survive.
  • Do not wing it!!
  • Preparation gives you real confidence and a sense of control at interview.
  • Preparation involves not just knowing everything about the company but it is also vitally important to know as much about yourself and your CV & transferable skills relevant to the role.
  • How you communicate at interview is nearly as important as what you communicate.

Testimonials

"I found the session extremely helpful in boosting my confidence prior to my interview. Discussing demeanour, body language and by reorganising interview answers I felt that I was well equipped to deal with any questions in an interview. I found Jane to be honest and professional in all respects. Furthermore the after service contact provided by Jane was first class.

I have since recommended the service and provide the company's details to friends.

Jobseeker

"The interview coaching session gave me a much clearer understanding of where my strengths and weaknesses lay. More importantly, however, the session has enabled me to communicate my strengths more effectively and play down (or work on!) areas of weakness. The session also highlighted many areas in which I need to conduct further research to really boost my chances of a great interview.

I found Jane very knowledgeable and insightful and would definitely recommend this a worthwhile investment."

Jobseeker

"I booked an Interview Coaching Session with myhorizon.ie as I had recently been looking for a new job in a very competitive jobs market.

The session was extremely useful and practical with a very personal focus. I took away the ability to effectively summarise what I gained from each of my roles to date, how to handle reasons for leaving, the ability to answer likely questions and most importantly the knowledge and confidence I needed in order to prepare for each interview. Thank you, it certainly was a very good investment in my time and money!"

Joanna Kavanagh

"Just to let you know that I got the job and so far I'm really enjoying it! I would like to thank you so much for your help. I would never have got the job without the Interview Coaching Power Session we did as there was a huge amount of competition. I would be more than happy to recommend your coaching services to anyone."
